This original oil painting is called 'Charred Echoes',
'Charred Echoes' is a painting where I wanted to tell a story of a haunting apocalyptic landscape. I loved creating the broken, twisted skeletal forms of the trees that are still left standing against the stormy ash filled skies.
The moon in the painting just highlights the scorched land below of a place that now shows only the ghostly remnants.
I used very dark colours for this oil painting as I wanted to show the wrath of nature and how powerful it is. Although with all paintings I always add a little bit of hope...if you spot next to the stone farm building there are still signs of life with the green/yellow shrubbery that has not succumb to the elements.
A world of flames as the mother of nature watches on....
