Original oil painting, 'DARKNESS DESCENDS’.
This landscape painting was inspired by some ideas I had for while of wanting to create stillness in a piece of art. It’s the moment of still quiet in the air and the smell of the field before the rain starts and the thunder begins. As you look at this impending storm, it’s the moment you hold your breath as you know something is coming and you feel the tension in the air.
I wanted to create a piece of drama with this painting, it really will have a strong impact in any room you choose to hang it in.
