My first signature piece of 2025, I’m proud to now be releasing 'Beyond The Darkness'.
This painting portrays a dramatic scene of swirling dark clouds which are looming over the horizon creating mystery of what is…beyond the darkness.
This original oil painting was inspired by my love of the powerful forces of nature. I knew from the beginning that I wanted the grasses to be green as for me that is symbolising resilience and hope which is my metaphor of renewal and perseverance.
When creating this piece of art, I completely let my emotions guide the process. The clouds were painted with purpose as I wanted to express my deep connection to the scene and my passion in the contrast. This painting has true emotional energy thrown into it as my goal as an artist is to make people feel when they are looking at my art.
This painting is a true reflection of myself as an artist and shows my love for painting stormy landscapes.
I also chose to varnish this painting with a gloss varnish as it really makes the dark clouds look even more ominous!
